Position Overview

The role of the Lead Service Technician encompasses the management of all operations at client locations, which includes direct engagement with clients, hands-on tasks, and the transportation of specialized filtration equipment. Adherence to safety protocols is crucial when handling equipment in controlled environments.

Consistent communication with clients is necessary to address any access challenges or specific site requirements. It is vital to represent American Air Filter International with professionalism and to wear the appropriate company uniform.

Beyond on-site responsibilities, this position also entails assisting the sales and service teams with proposal processes and labor assessments.

  • Execute pre-bid activities such as site evaluations, preparation of technical documentation, and estimation of labor hours
  • Oversee post-order activities, including site supervision, environmental safety compliance, and project documentation

Additional duties involve managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and addressing client concerns. This role demands strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing site installations
  • Core competencies include: effective communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, attention to detail, negotiation, teamwork, and customer focus

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in site installations
  • Familiarity with air handling and filtration systems
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management
  • Comprehension of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental practices

Educational Background:

Experience in the technical industry is preferred; knowledge of high-purity air filtration systems is advantageous.

Certifications:

  • OSHA 10-hour certification
  • OSHA aerial lift and forklift certifications

Specialized Skills:

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications
  • Experience in duct cleaning
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics management
  • Experience in mold remediation and unit encapsulation
  • Skills in filter frame construction
  • HVAC maintenance expertise
  • Experience with HEPA filtration systems
