Position Overview:

Tasks are carried out based on treatment orders provided by Physicians, under the ongoing and direct oversight of a Registered Professional Nurse.

In this capacity, the L.P.N. will be assigned to a Pre-Kindergarten classroom to assist a student diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.


Key Responsibilities:
The role requires the supervision of student health needs, which includes:

  • Monitoring health equipment associated with diabetes management.
  • Inputting nutritional data.
  • Tracking and recording physical health information.
  • Closely observing physical and behavioral changes.

The candidate will collaborate as part of a student care team that includes School R.N.s, guardians, and school staff.


Job Qualifications:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: A valid license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse is mandatory for appointment.
