Position Overview:
This role entails the provision of essential medical care and treatment for patients, adhering to comprehensive and clearly defined policies, guidelines, and regulations.
The responsibilities are executed in alignment with established professional nursing standards, specific directives from physicians, and relevant regulations.
Tasks are carried out based on treatment orders provided by Physicians, under the ongoing and direct oversight of a Registered Professional Nurse.
In this capacity, the L.P.N. will be assigned to a Pre-Kindergarten classroom to assist a student diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
Key Responsibilities:
The role requires the supervision of student health needs, which includes:
- Monitoring health equipment associated with diabetes management.
- Inputting nutritional data.
- Tracking and recording physical health information.
- Closely observing physical and behavioral changes.
The candidate will collaborate as part of a student care team that includes School R.N.s, guardians, and school staff.
Job Qualifications:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: A valid license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse is mandatory for appointment.
