Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic educator to fill the role of a full-time 5th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Countryside Academy. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in elementary education or a keen interest in pursuing a teaching career, along with a genuine passion for nurturing young minds and contributing positively to our educational community.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and execute lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
2. Establish a supportive and secure classroom atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth.
3. Regularly assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods.
4. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and behavior.
5. Collaborate with fellow educators to plan and implement school-wide programs and initiatives, including those involving intervention staff, English Learners, and special education teams.
6. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching competencies and knowledge.
7. Keep accurate records of student performance and behavior.
8. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by school administration.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited institution or a related field with the intention to pursue teacher certification through an alternative program (sponsored by the academy).
- Candidates must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this role with a valid teaching certificate for grades K-5.
- Previous experience in teaching elementary grades is preferred.
- Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:
