Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Eden, North Carolina.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no call or weekends.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms and vascular studies using advanced ultrasound technology.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment and post-procedure care.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained, performing quality assurance monitoring and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Generate high-quality ultrasound images and reports, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in staff training and education, serving as a subject matter expert and resource for Cardiovascular Sonographer students.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
  • One year minimum experience in an acute hospital setting.
