Health Information Management Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Management Director to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of information management standards and systems to support the patient record.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in health information management, with a minimum of six years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. A bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field is required, along with current RHIA or RHIT certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement information management standards and systems to support the patient record
- Oversee the management of all on-site HIM workflows, including document assessment, prepping, scanning/indexing, and quality analysis
- Ensure compliance with CMS and TJC regulations/standards
- Assist/participate in regulatory survey responses as needed
- Foster working relationships with other departments to ensure timely resolution of issues
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field
- Experience: Six years of experience in health information management in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Licensure/Certification: RHIA or RHIT certification
- Additional Skills:
- Experience with fostering strong relationships with members of a medical staff
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and other related regulations
- Ability to multitask and work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities
