Overall Purpose of the Role

The SAP Functional Analyst will act as a key liaison between Business Operations and Information Technology (IT), focusing on delivering impactful business solutions tailored to organizational requirements. This role demands in-depth knowledge of SAP Production Planning and Quality Management, alongside proven expertise in SAP solution design and configuration. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster relationships between IT and departments such as Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing, ensuring alignment of business priorities with technical enhancements.
  • Design, implement, and deliver technical solutions within SAP, supporting operational strategies across functional areas.
  • Lead planning discussions with Operations partners to identify and execute process enhancements.
  • Develop and execute Testing and Integration strategies.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable software solutions through thorough analysis.
  • Evaluate business processes and propose enhancements achievable through innovative technology or optimized use of existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Business Managers and stakeholders to gather and document business and user requirements, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Oversee the delivery of technical solutions and process improvements.
  • Support development and testing teams throughout testing phases.
  • Provide training and support to end users on newly implemented functionalities.
  • Modify configurations and integrations to align with operational business processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SAP Production Planning module.
  • Experience in materials requirements planning and production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of work center capacity planning and production order execution.
  • Familiarity with order settlement processes and co-products management.
  • Proficient in SAP Quality Management module.
  • Experience in Quality Planning and Inspection processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector or similar industries is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in manufacturing (PP) and quality management (QM) modules, including at least two implementations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives across various organizational levels.
  • Experience with mobile application deployments and RFID technologies is beneficial.

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • SAP certification in either PP or QM is desirable.

Communication Skills:

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Skilled in drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Competence in analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and communicating findings effectively.

Additional Skills:

  • Proven track record in leading teams, managing deadlines, and adhering to service level agreements.
  • Ability to develop strategic project plans and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Problem-solving skills to address a variety of challenges with limited standardization.
  • Extensive experience managing IT-enabled business projects through all project lifecycle stages.
  • Strong planning, time management, collaboration, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with business leaders and IT teams to deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, focusing on solution-driven strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Experience in supporting a large client base within a global organization.
