ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Project Development Coordinator will facilitate the advancement of carbon capture initiatives across North America. This role oversees various assessments and preliminary engineering projects, ensuring alignment among project stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a proactive approach in project management while collaborating with the development and execution teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and assist in project development activities, including proposal generation and collaboration with the business development team.
  • Oversee a project team in the preparation of feasibility studies and preliminary engineering designs, coordinating with the design team to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Establish project timelines and budgets tailored to client specifications.
  • Draft and review proposal documentation.
  • Track project progress and study execution, identifying challenges and aiding the team in delivering solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Manage a project team to produce Licensor's Process Design Packages for third-party implementation.
  • Define project goals, scope, and deliverables that align with organizational objectives in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Foster relationships with strategic partners, contractors, and engineering firms.
  • Assist in customer negotiations regarding contractual terms and agreements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects across various locations and time zones.
  • Engage in diverse meetings and workgroups to integrate activities, communicate challenges, secure approvals, resolve issues, and maintain awareness of new developments and policies.
  • Ensure daily operations comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Support the achievement of organizational goals by formulating strategies and objectives.
  • Review and comprehend commercial matters, contracts, and technical documentation.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in similar roles.
  • Preferred Skills/Certifications
    • Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solid understanding of commercial matters, contracts, and technical documentation.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
    • Japanese language skills are advantageous.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel: Up to 20% may be required, potentially on short notice.
  • Evening work may be necessary to support calls with clients and international project teams.
