About the Position:
">The Reserve Police Officer role at the City of Acworth involves performing various law enforcement duties, including patrols, investigations, and responding to emergency calls.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Patrol the city to detect and deter criminal activity and traffic violations.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into traffic accidents, crimes, and other incidents.
- Apprehend, arrest, and process offenders.
- Transport prisoners and provide assistance and backup support to other officers and emergency service providers.
Qualifications:
">- You must have knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, criminal and traffic codes, search and seizure laws, town ordinances, and department policies and procedures.
- You must possess a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- You must meet current requirements set forth by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council for the State of Georgia.
Working Environment:
">The work environment includes working indoors, in a vehicle, and outdoors, and may involve exposure to noise, dust, dirt, grease, infectious or contagious diseases, life-threatening situations, and inclement weather.
">Salary Range:
">The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
