Position Overview

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) - Engineered Systems is actively seeking a talented and proactive Field Service Manager to enhance our team in West Texas.

This essential role entails guiding and nurturing a team of twenty professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and managing client accounts for our water and wastewater treatment solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical or industrial background, ideally within the water and wastewater treatment industry, showcasing proven skills in customer and account management, as well as team leadership.

Success in this position hinges on exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Initially, the role will allow for remote work during the early phases, offering flexibility as we establish a new facility in Odessa, Texas.

However, relocation to Odessa will be required as operations progress.

This is a remarkable opportunity to play a significant role in the growth and success of VWTS's initiatives in West Texas.

The Field Service Manager will be responsible for building a high-performing team, ensuring top-notch customer service, and driving business growth through effective account management and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee VWTS Field Service operations within the assigned customer base
- Manage all operational metrics within the customer base, including Environmental Health & Safety, service quality, commercial growth, and cost efficiency
- Direct contract operations and customer relations in the designated area
- Handle asset lifecycle management to prevent equipment failures
- Collaborate on revenue objectives with commercial leaders
- Drive productivity initiatives within the region
- Establish and supervise a team to meet daily operational goals
- Participate in plant commissioning and start-up activities
- Collaborate with HR and Training Teams for staffing, recruitment, and training
- Develop frontline leaders and support staff to fulfill obligations
- Create effective succession plans for the team
- Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with leadership and support functions to address any deviations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and respect within the team
- Emphasize values such as innovation and customer focus within the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least five years of leadership experience in industrial water, wastewater, or Oil & Gas water treatment solutions
- Proficiency in Spanish is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel within the Southern region (approximately 10%)
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in computer applications and ability to learn new software
- Background in service-oriented roles
- Previous workforce management experience in West Texas or similar environments
