Rigger Journeyman Certified

We are seeking a highly skilled Rigger Journeyman Certified to join our team at MasTec Industrial. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for setting up rigging for construction projects and/or manufacturing plants.

• Set up rigging for construction projects and/or manufacturing plants
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks accurately
• Inspect all rigging equipment prior to use for wear, damage, or deterioration
• Attach slings, chokers, spreader bars, etc., to material to be moved
• Act as safety observer on equipment lifts
• Plan or assist in the pre-planning of lifts
• Signal Equipment operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions
• Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
• Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and limited office duties

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School diploma or GED Certification (preferred)
• Applicable Rigger training and certificate from NCCER, NCCCO, or from approved 3rd party certification body
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
• Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
• Ability to obtain, through evaluation, the certification to operate project site mobile cranes
