We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Graduate Nurses to join our team at UPMC Harrisburg. As a Graduate Nurse, you will have the opportunity to rotate through various units within the hospital, gaining valuable experience and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

UPMC Harrisburg is a full-service, Magnet-designated hospital with 411 beds, serving the community with a range of specialties including women's health, intensive care, gastroenterology, and urology. Our hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care and has earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for total hip and knee replacement and spine surgery.
What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program?
The Graduate Nurse Rotational Program is a 6-month program designed to provide Graduate Nurses with a comprehensive learning experience. Participants will rotate through Neurology, Acute Care Cardiac, and the Cardiac Thoracic Interventional track, working alongside experienced nurses and receiving mentorship and guidance.

What can you Expect as a GNRP Professional Staff Nurse?
The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Professional Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients' families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

What Does Placement Look Like Post-GNRP?
Upon completion of the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program, placements are determined by participant preference, Hiring Manager preference, and business need through a collaborative matching process at UPMC Memorial.
Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education.
Requirements
· Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required prior to program start date OR must have a Temporary Practice Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX examination with 6 months of hire
· CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
· Clearances must be dated within 90 days
· Act 33 with renewal
· Act 34 with renewal
· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
· Basic Life Support
