Cabinet Maker Job Description

Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for fabricating aircraft cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using design and engineering drawings.


Key Responsibilities:

  2. Learn and Develop Technical Skills: Learn entry-level technical skills and knowledge, regulatory requirements, and tooling used in aircraft cabinetmaking. Continuously develop technical competency and problem-solving abilities to progress to the technician level.

  3. Prepare and Make Furniture: Using standard safety and operating procedures, design/engineering drawings, tools, and other materials (laminates, veneers, cap strips), develop proficiency in the preparation and making of furniture.

  4. Utilize Material Tracking System: Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off completed work.

  5. Comply with Safety Policies: Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, use personal protective equipment, and ensure aircraft interior protection. Assist in the development and implementation of related initiatives.

Requirements:



  2. English Language Proficiency: The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  3. Physical Demands: Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

  4. Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate.

  5. Additional Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
