Electrician for 2nd Shift Specialist

Job Summary:

Flexco Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for the diagnostics, troubleshooting, testing, installation, and repair of equipment, parts, and systems.

This role requires strong knowledge of electrical codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules and regulations. You will maintain machines and plant equipment, read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain machines and plant equipment, including but not limited to extruders, presses, mills, boilers, fans, and motors
• Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance instructions, and procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replace defective parts
• Move equipment and machinery
• Monitor boiler operation and perform adjustments as needed
• Maintain consistent communication with production personnel in regard to changes and repairs

Essential Functions:

• Ability to maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions in regard to SOPs, management instructions, and other job-related instructions
• Basic communication skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task, and work under deadlines
• Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperature conditions in usually an indoor manufacturing environment
• Ability to transport and deliver a wide variety of tools, equipment, and materials
• Ability to work with a variety of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, man lifts, computers, grinders, welders, cutting torches, drills, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and assemble parts as needed

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Two years of relevant experience and/or training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and mechanical equipment, HVAC maintenance, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Technical degree preferred
• Ability to pass standardized maintenance aptitude test
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
