Job Summary

Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Wound Care Center team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional, personalized care to our patients and community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather medical history and physical data on patients
  • Perform a complete physical exam, interpret and integrate patient data to determine appropriate diagnostic & therapeutic plans and procedures, and record findings
  • Consult with other caregivers to coordinate patient care
  • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostics
  • Administer injections, immunizations and oral medications
  • Perform procedures such as sharp debridement of wounds, application of skin grafts/substitutes
  • Prepare written prescription orders for medication & controlled substances
  • Advise patients regarding wound care, health practices and illness prevention
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as an NP
  • Graduation from an accredited NP training program and certified by an accredited certification agency
  • Current CPR Certification
