Job Opportunity

Mansperger Patterson & McMullin is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of business and individual tax returns, as well as mentoring and training team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of business and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Mentor and train team members to develop their skills and knowledge in taxation.
  • Develop and sustain excellent client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Assist and track progress on all tasks associated with engagements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Work directly with 3rd parties such as attorneys, brokers, and the IRS, to resolve complex tax issues.
  • Billing and financial management, including tracking and managing client engagements.
  • Conduct annual team performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance for growth and development.
  • Promote operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA License required.
  • Proficient in business and individual taxation, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational techniques, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capable of managing multiple client engagements, as well as completing tasks related to business development.
  • Comfortable with preparation and leading of team meetings, with the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate discussion.
  • Knowledge of multi-state taxation preferred, but not required.
