ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Before enlisting in the Air Force, candidates must fulfill several prerequisites related to their background, health, and other criteria established by the Air Force and federal regulations.
Minimum Educational Qualifications
A High School Senior (age 17 or older)*, a high school diploma, a GED, or 15 college semester hours.
*High School Students may initiate their application process as early as the conclusion of their junior year.
Individuals who are non-graduates or do not possess alternate credentials must achieve an AFQT Test score of 65 or above on the ASVAB.

Qualifications
- Understanding of aircraft systems principles
- Normal color vision
- Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks, and Credit evaluation
- Successful completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be at least 17 years old and not exceed age 42 at the time of enlistment
