Scope of Work
As a School Nurse PRN, you will provide nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and legally by the State of Michigan. You will demonstrate competency through critical thinking and the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will uphold the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA and NASN, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have an Associate's degree in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 5 years, a MI Registered Nurse (RN) license, and AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days. You must also have Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS INSTR) certification from AHA within 1 year.
