Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Greater New Bedford Health Ctr. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient triage and administrative support
  • Assist with direct patient care as established by clinical protocol and policies
  • Prepare medical instruments for sterilization and maintain patient areas
  • Assist with clinical phone calls and scheduling patients appointments
  • Provide daily scheduling of referrals to local hospitals and private physicians
Requirements
  • Completion of a formal program in medical assisting with appropriate certificate
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Supply management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCMA or CMA National certification
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Bilingual or trilingual ability
