Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift Duration: 12 hours

Hourly Rate: $32.33 to $48.50, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting. As part of our emergency department, you will treat patients with a variety of conditions, ranging from minor injuries to critically ill cases. Our team values collaboration, mutual support, and a shared passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting to the emergency room with various medical conditions.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing care based on acuity and ensuring efficient and timely intervention.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations, delivering excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to create and implement follow-up care plans, ensuring effective referrals as needed.
  • Document patient information effectively, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Coordinate care with physicians and other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality of care.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited professional nursing program (required).
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of nursing (preferred).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Virginia or a compact multi-state RN license with eligibility to practice in Virginia (required).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an emergency room setting in acute care (preferred).
  • Med-Surg RNs may be considered for cross-training into the ER for night shifts only.
