Overall Purpose of the Role

The SAP Functional Analyst will act as a key liaison between Business Operations and Information Technology (IT), focusing on delivering effective business solutions that align with organizational requirements. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP Production Planning and Quality Management, alongside a proven track record in SAP solution design and hands-on configuration. The successful candidate will collaborate across various levels within the organization to drive value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships between IT and various departments, including Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing, ensuring that business priorities and technical changes are effectively managed.
  • Design, implement, and deliver technical solutions within SAP, supporting strategies pertinent to each functional area of Operations.
  • Lead planning sessions with Operations partners to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Testing and Integration plans.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable software solutions by analyzing and communicating business requirements.
  • Evaluate business processes and propose solutions or enhancements achievable through new technologies or innovative uses of existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Business Managers and stakeholders to assess business and user needs, producing essential documentation such as use cases, user stories, functional requirements, UI designs, mockups, and workflows.
  • Oversee the delivery of technical solutions and process improvements.
  • Support development and testing teams throughout the testing phases.
  • Provide training and support to end users on newly implemented functionalities.
  • Configure and integrate systems to enhance Operations business processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the SAP Production Planning module.
  • Experience in materials requirements planning and production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of work center capacity evaluation and production order execution.
  • Familiarity with order settlement and co-products processing.
  • Proficient in the SAP Quality Management module, including QM in manufacturing and procurement.
  • Experience with Quality Planning and Quality Inspection processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector or related fields is preferred, especially in businesses servicing rig sites globally.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in manufacturing (PP) and quality management (QM) modules, including customer support and new implementations.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple initiatives across various organizational levels.
  • Experience with mobile application deployments and RFID technologies is beneficial.

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • SAP certification in either PP or QM is desirable.

Communication Skills:

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Competence in drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Aptitude for analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and conveying information clearly.

Additional Skills:

  • Proven success in leading teams, managing deadlines, and adhering to service level agreements.
  • Capability to develop both short-term and long-term project plans and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
