We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 or 3 to join our team at the Cobb and Douglas Public Health department. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients with tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with TB and other infectious diseases, including administering medications and vaccinations.
- Screen and refer clients to other community service providers as needed.
- Collaborate with local physicians, hospitals, and community organizations to promote TB education and ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- CPR certification.
- One year of PHN experience or completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Professional experience in public health nursing.
- Experience in the specialized area of assignment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
This position does not require a lot of physical exertion. May require some lifting, but no more than 50 lbs. Not always a sedentary position; will require some walking to/from and in/out of chair.
