This role involves providing essential nursing care to participants in various research studies, ensuring adherence to the Professional Nurses Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care for volunteers engaged in clinical trials, accommodating both ambulatory and bed rest requirements.
- Conduct screenings, obtain informed consent, and facilitate study visits as necessary.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, documenting all findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Support physicians during routine examinations and procedures, contributing to patient comfort and care.
- Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a valid Louisiana nursing license or a multi-state license from a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state, along with relevant practical nursing experience. The position may be filled at either the LPN 2 or LPN 3 level, depending on the applicant's experience.
Work Environment:
This role requires flexibility, as shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A shift differential is provided for night and holiday work.
