UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing a personalized relationship with patients and their support systems. You will collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care that promote optimal health. Your expertise will be utilized to educate patients and their support systems, analyze and modify strategies to progress patients through their plans of care, and ensure completion of nursing interventions and medical orders.
Responsibilities- Acts with patient advocacy when implementing the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Collaborates with healthcare team to educate patient and their support system.
- Analyzes, modifies, and implements strategies to progress the patient through their plan of care.
- Ensures completion of nursing interventions, medical orders, and other related therapies.
- Prioritizes job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
- CPI certification within three months of hire required for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and Central Staffing and Scheduling Office (CSSO).
The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
