Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Summit Health, Inc. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate aseptic technique
Prepare collection containers with the correct preservatives and give instructions to patients for proper collection of specimens at home
Monitor inventory levels and follow protocol for replenishing supplies in the phlebotomy room and storage area
Ensure proper patient charge deletion according to departmental policy
Document callbacks in the lab logbook
Demonstrate competency in all areas of adult, pediatric, and infant phlebotomy
Requirements:
High School Graduate/GED required
HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing required
Knowledge of Application software for patient scheduling and orders management preferred
Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail, label printer) preferred
Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred
Travel:
