Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bakery Production Assistant to join our team at Nothing Bundt Cakes. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality cakes are consistently produced for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow proprietary recipes and production methods to achieve productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize commercial-grade mixers and ovens to bake cakes.
  • Prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, place cake pans into hot oven, and monitor the baking process.
  • Follow proprietary frosting recipe and application methods to achieve productivity goals.
  • Utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer, and pastry bag to frost cakes.
  • Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards.
  • Assist Bakery Manager in developing cake production plans and monitoring inventory of baking supplies.
  • Perform manual washing, rinsing, and sanitizing of baking pans, dishes, utensils, and other tools.
  • Monitor sanitization levels to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including gathering and removing garbage, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Requirements
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Physical capacity to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment, working adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with ability to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
  • Diligence, organization, and self-motivation, with ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • No prior bakery experience required, but is a plus.
Compensation

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
