Position Responsibilities

This pivotal role encompasses dual responsibilities across our laboratory and production floor, adapting to daily priorities. The primary focus will be on the calibration of Test Blocks and processing customer orders within a laboratory setting.

Key tasks include:

  • Utilizing laboratory equipment and computer systems to calibrate multiple Test Blocks, ensuring compliance with specified standards.
  • Packaging and stocking finished Test Blocks in accordance with established protocols and work instructions.
  • Conducting visual inspections of Test Blocks to uphold quality benchmarks.
  • Operating and maintaining various machinery, including roll stamping machines, bead blasters, buffers, belt sanders, surface grinders, and lapping machines.
  • Identifying quality issues promptly and reporting them to the Supervisor.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and paperwork as per departmental guidelines.
  • Employing quality control tools, such as micrometers, to ensure precision.
  • Executing additional production-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in computer usage and data entry.
  • Strong mathematical skills typically acquired through a high school education.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience collaborating with team members in a production environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in inspecting components and assembling machinery.
  • Ability to perform accurate calibrations using precision testing instruments.
  • Capability to comprehend and adhere to departmental procedures.
  • Skill in providing clear written and verbal instructions that enhance understanding of drawings and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control devices, including micrometers.
  • Physical ability to lift packages weighing between 5 to 40 pounds.
Additional Information
  • Standard Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday; 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM on Fridays.
  • Benefits include a 7.5% 401k match, four weeks of paid time off, ten paid company holidays, a recognition program, and competitive health insurance.

Base Salary: $32,000 - $35,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on individual factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also encompass additional elements based on the specific position.
