Job Overview

SUMMARY:
The primary objective is to ensure the excellence of processes and products through the execution of audits, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting visual assessments, along with reporting on compliance with established standards.

This role is crucial for maintaining the quality of products that exit the manufacturing facility, encompassing specifications, packaging, and operational functionality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute both scheduled and unscheduled audits of the production process.
  • Ensure that product quality aligns with the specifications and standards outlined in quality documentation and management directives. The ultimate accountability for product quality rests with the supervising personnel and the Quality Assurance Specialist.
  • Guarantee that all necessary specifications and documentation are accessible prior to initiating new setups and production runs.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant personnel to ensure adherence to any specification modifications or unique attributes requested by clients.
  • Conduct Process Capability inspections and collect data, utilizing the appropriate documentation.
  • Organize and oversee any required product sorting activities.
  • Facilitate and coordinate training for temporary and new hires, collaborating with shift supervisors and the Plant Superintendent.
  • Undertake additional related tasks and responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must possess good or corrected vision to ensure quality performance.
  • The role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail is essential; familiarity with measuring instruments and auditing techniques is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
