Residential Treatment Counselor

San Antonio Recovery Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential Treatment Counselor to provide high-quality treatment for our residential clients with Substance Use Disorders.
Job Summary:We are committed to addressing the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of treatment to help each of our patients achieve long-term recovery and an improved quality of life.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide regular therapy sessions and support clients in their recovery journey.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals to additional specialists as needed.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate and timely patient files.
- Coordinate care for assigned patients and present patient status and concerns with the treatment team.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide timely counseling and documentation for patient services.
- LCDC, LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
- Clinical experience in addiction treatment and strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a medical hierarchy and assist in complex problem-solving with clients.
- Excellent documentation and computer skills required.
- Knowledge of local community drug trends, the effects on the body and cognitive functioning of drugs of abuse, and signs and symptoms of narcotic overdose.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
- Self-directed with ability to work with little supervision.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
