About the RoleThe Tooling Technician will be an integral part of our Production and Compression department, working on the manufacturing floor to ensure compliance with current good manufacturing procedures (cGMP). This first-shift position will provide in-person support and handle all tooling needs, including part changes, supply chain coordination, inspections, and coordination with necessary vendors.
Responsibilities- Maintain compliance with cGMP throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Handle compression tooling, including punches or dies tooling, and change parts and production accessories as per standard operating procedure.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain department to order and maintain compression tools, parts, or required products per machine requirements.
- Coordinate with established vendors for receiving tooling, cleaning, inspection, issuance, and retrieval of tooling, change parts, products, and/or tools as per standard operating procedure.
- Coordinate with QA for issuance of new logbooks and maintaining the logbooks as per procedure.
- Revise and update the respective standard operating procedure based on changes recommended by the audit or compliance team.
- Perform periodic inspections of punches and dies as per standard operating procedure.
- Clean and maintain the tooling and change parts room as per standard operating procedures requirement.
- Assist in production and/or QA for additional ad hoc daily needs.
- Completed High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other applicable field.
- 3 years of manufacturing experience (compression) or completion of a vocational technology certification program.
