Parent-Child Literacy Specialist

This is a School Year grant-funded position that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a Parent Child+ Home Visitor, you will work directly with high-risk young children and their families to deliver instructional visits and promote literacy-based programs. You will be responsible for assessing family needs and providing targeted support to ensure the best possible outcomes for these children and their families.
You will be part of a collaborative team that works together to provide comprehensive support to families. In this role, you will also participate in regular meetings with colleagues and supervisors to discuss progress and plan future initiatives. With your expertise in early education and experience working with high-risk families, you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of these children and their families.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Experience teaching in an early education program, supporting high-risk young families, and working directly with families in their home is preferred.
- Must have reading, speaking and writing skills in English. Ability to speak fluently in another language is a plus.
- Ability to maintain professional, confidential boundaries while providing services.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Maximum of 18 hours per week depending on caseload.
