The successful candidate will explore materials such as metal halide perovskites, organic semiconductors, metal oxides, and colloidal quantum dots. Key aspects of the research will involve examining the chemistry, electronic structure, electrochemical behaviors, and microstructural changes that occur when interfacing different materials at the nanoscale.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement advanced spectroscopic and electrochemical protocols for comprehensive materials characterization.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and technical staff.
- Oversee the operation of various laboratories equipped with imaging, spectroscopy, microscopy, and film fabrication tools.
- Provide mentorship to graduate students in their research endeavors.
- Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Prepare research papers for publication, develop project reports, and create technical presentations.
- A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field, accompanied by three years of relevant professional experience post-degree, or
- A Master's degree in the aforementioned fields with five years of relevant experience following a Bachelor's degree, or
- A Doctoral degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline.
Ideal candidates will possess experience in:
- Materials electrochemistry and processing techniques.
- Structural characterization methods, including X-ray diffraction, XPS, FTIR, and synchrotron-based techniques.
- Metal halide perovskite electrochemistry and defect analysis.
- Collaborative work in an interdisciplinary research environment.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, intellectual independence, and self-motivation.
- Comprehensive CV, including a list of publications.
- A one-page statement outlining research interests.
- A list of three professional references.
