Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

This position is primarily responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and to ensure that the customer's expectations are met in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain the QMS, ensuring its effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Manage records for internal quality audits, CAR/PAR program, and management review.
  • Log and track customer complaints, communicating status and corrective action requests.
  • Monitor product compliance to customer requirements, ensuring timely daily duties.
  • Develop and facilitate procedure approvals, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Conduct or assist with training classes on customer/QMS topics.
  • Communicate the quality policy to all personnel.
  • Collect data, generate reports, and maintain information boards.
  • Coordinate document and data control, calibration programs, and quality checks.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, maintaining staff RAIL.
  • Direct business communication with major customers.
  • Develop, test, monitor, and modify processes for defined cycles.
  • Plan, calculate, prioritize, and coordinate quality testing activities.
  • Document planning and development of products.
  • Ensure GMP compliance with customers and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend corrective actions to supervisors for machine performance, output, or quality issues.
  • Control non-conforming product until deficiencies are corrected.
  • Maintain Kaizen improvement log, establish priorities, and support project leaders.
  • Attend Kaizen team meetings, ensure focus, and provide training on Kaizen process.
  • Conform to quality/safety requirements and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production areas.
  • Practice proper safety techniques.
  • Participate in the Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes.
  • Record measurable cost reductions and sustained improvement events.
  • Waste reduction training and awareness.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
