Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OB/GYN physician to join our team at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative services to ensure timely care of patients.
  • Abide by the Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.
  • Review patient records and medical history to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Determine and order screening and diagnostic tests and studies.
  • Obtain informed consent for treatment, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures and studies.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices in accordance with specialty scope of practice and applicable rules and regulations.
  • Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.
  • Initiate admission/discharge of patients, if applicable.
  • Provide consultation, education, and counseling regarding the management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as directed.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and quality and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
  • Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
  • Postgraduate training in a residency program
  • Vermont Medical License (current or eligible)
