Position Overview:

The Lead Estimator position is responsible for managing the estimating division, scrutinizing all estimates, aiding in budget formulation, and ensuring effective communication throughout all construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with estimators and project management personnel on diverse project documentation
  • Guide the estimating team to guarantee prompt completion of estimates
  • Examine bid documents to pinpoint risks and potential opportunities
  • Engage in technical proposals for various projects
  • Create comprehensive cost estimates and evaluate pricing
  • Participate in project site meetings as required
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders
  • Conduct technical reviews and cost evaluations
  • Oversee the subcontractor database
  • Mentor new estimators

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in construction estimating
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and project management

Education and Experience:

  • Over 10 years in estimating within the commercial construction sector
  • Degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Bid2Win
  • Familiarity with public works construction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines
