Position Overview: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining precise financial documentation for our restaurant operations. This position entails monitoring expenditures, managing accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial statements. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and reconcile daily financial activities, including sales, purchases, and payments.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Regularly monitor and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist with payroll management, including tracking employee hours and calculating wages.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers regarding invoicing and payment inquiries.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Provide assistance during audits and financial assessments.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong grasp of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience in data analytics and/or coding is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
