Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Inova Loudoun Hospital. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients, including stabilizing and immobilizing patients, collecting and documenting vital signs, and transporting patients to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care to patients, including stabilization and immobilization, and collection and documentation of vital signs.
  • Transport patients to various locations, including testing, admission/discharge, and interfacility transport.
  • Collect patient specimens and assist mid-level providers and physicians with collecting, labeling, and transporting irretrievable specimens.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
  • Obtain 12-lead ECGs per physician order and provide ECGs to physicians for review.
  • Review Medical Director orders related to disease state and monitor and report patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
Requirements
  • EMT-related experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • BLS and EMT-B certification required, with active status on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or current Virginia EMT License/Certification.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Computer skills required.
Work Schedule

Full-time position with a 12-hour evening shift, 3 days a week (3pm-3am).

May perform additional duties as assigned.
