Job Overview

Bergelectric Corp. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrician Trainee to join our team. As an Electrician Trainee, you will assist experienced electricians with installing and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes.
  • Use industry-standard hand tools and power tools to perform tasks under supervision.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems, and other wire raceway systems.
  • Work with electricians to splice and terminate wires at junction points.
  • Perform cleanup, gathering, and transporting materials to electricians on the construction site.
  • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled or working on enrollment in an approved Electrician Trainee program (in accordance with applicable state regulations).
  • Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems.
  • Understanding of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors, and wiring methods.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line blueprints.
  • Familiarity with aspects of operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.
