Job Summary

Mary Ann's Baking Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
  • Coordinate with assigned Supervisor and/or other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or systems repair.
  • Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and/or complying with health and building regulations.
  • Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
  • Install electrical system components, such as lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits, timers, etc., to provide enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and tools to ensure availability in a safe operating condition.
  • Monitor the electrical work of outside contractors to ensure that projects are satisfactory completed and within district specifications.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions.
  • Prepare written materials, such as repair status, activity logs, etc., to document activities and/or convey information.
  • Repair electrical components and/or systems, such as motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, intercom systems, cafeteria kitchen equipment, etc., to ensure a safe working condition.
  • Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of items required to complete necessary installation and/or repair.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Transport a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability of materials required at job site.

  • Handle hazardous materials.
Working Conditions

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.

Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.
