Leidos is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter to join our team in Augusta, GA. As a key member of our National Security Sector, you will be responsible for developing drawing packages and engineering assemblies for telecommunication systems.
Responsibilities:- Validate drawing packages for accuracy and create rack assembly schematics from rack elevation drawings.
- Identify rack assembly equipment requirements and ensure correct parts are ordered.
- Design mechanical parts and ensure they meet design specifications and dimension tolerances.
- Develop cable assembly drawings and maintain all documentation for a project build.
- Monitor rack assembly builds and update rack assembly drawings as required.
- Draft modification kit instructions and cable lists based on rack elevations.
- Develop test procedures for network and satellite equipment and conduct Performance Acceptance testing.
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Direct design experience using CAD software on industry projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.
- Knowledge of or background in the telecommunications field with emphasis on satellite communication systems.
Leidos offers a competitive salary range of $29.30/hr to $31.25/hr, as well as minimum wage requirements and minimum Health and Welfare benefits. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act.
