Job Opportunity

Custom Software Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled IT Developer for a part-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of software applications, collaborating with development teams, and providing technical expertise to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run and monitor software performance tests to identify errors and areas for improvement.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Install and upgrade software products as required.
  • Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and appearance of company web sites and related web applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience developing application and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS, Cloud AWS, SQL, GitHub Enterprise.
  • Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Developing and maintaining web services; experience with MVC, WCF, and Web APIs preferable.
  • Experience designing and maintaining user interfaces (UI) with HTML, JavaScript, CSS; experience working with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Node.JS, Bootstrap preferable.
  • Experience developing and maintaining data in relational databases; heavy SQL experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, performance tuning is required.
  • Proficiency in using jQuery for DOM traversal and manipulation.
  • Experience with jQuery event handling for creating interactive user interfaces.
  • Experience in developing responsive web applications using Bootstrap.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.

Clearance:

  • Public Trust Tier 2 clearance level.

Citizenship:

US Citizen.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using Bootstrap's grid system for layout design.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap components (modals, carousels, navbars, etc.) and customization techniques.
  • Proficiency in building web applications using ASP.NET Core, including experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
  • Understanding of ASP.NET Core middleware and the ability to implement custom middleware.
  • Knowledge of dependency injection principles and practices in ASP.NET Core.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET Core security features, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Software Development Professional.
  • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional.
  • GitHub Actions Certification.
  • AWS Certified Developer.
