Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Granite Recovery Center. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residential facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare guest rooms for new admissions by dressing beds with clean sheets and comforters, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning hard surfaces.
  • Vacuum hallways and common area carpets.
  • Assist the kitchen with washing, drying, and putting away dishes.
  • Tidy up the dining area after mealtimes, including wiping tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping the floor, and emptying trash.
  • Keep the housekeeping cart organized and stocked.
  • Deep clean bathrooms, including mopping floors, cleaning countertops, wiping mirrors and fixtures, and sanitizing shower stalls.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of day rooms, including removing dishes or trash, folding and putting away blankets, straightening pillows, and sanitizing hard surfaces.
  • Assist medical staff with laundry.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and interact with them in an appropriate manner.
  • Assist medical or kitchen staff with other related tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Ability to follow and complete a task list on a daily basis.
  • Basic knowledge of household cleaning products and how to use them.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
