Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Professional to join our team at a Residential Facility. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a comfortable and healthy environment for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Room Preparation: Prepare bedrooms for new admissions by dressing beds with clean sheets and comforter, vacuuming the carpet, cleaning all hard surfaces, and ensuring each room has the proper accommodations.
  • Common Area Cleaning: Vacuum all hallways and common area carpets, and tidy up the dining area after mealtimes, including wiping all tables and chairs, pushing in chairs, sweeping and mopping the floor, and emptying trash.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Assist the kitchen with washing, drying, and putting away dishes, and maintain the housekeeping cart organized and stocked.
  • Bathroom Deep Cleaning: Deep clean all bathrooms, including mopping floors, cleaning all countertops, wiping mirrors and fixtures, sanitizing shower stalls, stocking bathrooms with towels, and taking out trash.
  • Day Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the day rooms, including removing any dishes or trash, folding and putting away blankets, straightening pillows, and sanitizing hard surfaces.
  • Laundry Assistance: Assist medical staff with laundry and maintain professional boundaries with clients, interacting with them in an appropriate manner.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications and Background Check: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
  • Experience: Prior cleaning/housekeeping experience a plus
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation preferred
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization, ability to follow and complete a task list on a daily basis, basic knowledge of household cleaning products and how to use them, and good communication skills
