As a Corporate Finance Intern, you will work closely with the finance team to develop and implement financial models, analyze market trends, and create reports for external stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, network with other interns and employees, and present your findings to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the finance team in its day-to-day operations, including executing critical financing activities and facilitating interactions between investors and Hilcorp.
- Develop and maintain corporate financial models, ensuring compliance with all covenants.
- Create reports and presentations for external stakeholders, including banks, bondholders, research analysts, rating agencies, and equity partners.
- Monitor investment research and maintain peer data for comparison analysis.
- Support senior management team on strategic projects and requests.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in the oil and gas industry and energy finance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language proficiency).
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Experience in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Education Requirements:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year university or college with a strong record of academic achievement.
