About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Business Tax practice at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tax advisory services to our clients, driving business growth, and leading a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance.
  • Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on Partnership, S corporation, or C Corporation taxation, as well as Individual and Fiduciary taxation.
  • Collaborate with RSM specialists on Estate and Gift planning, State and Local Taxation, and International Taxation.
  • Communicate complex tax issues to clients in a non-technical manner, ensuring seamless communication between the client and service team.
  • Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to team members, including serving as a Career Advisor.
  • Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects, developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors.
  • Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field.
  • CPA license in one's principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D., or Enrolled Agent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation, including experience in managing client engagements.
  • Proficient in entity (Partnership, S Corporation, or C Corporation) and Individual Taxation.
  • Familiar with Fiduciary, Gift, and Estate Taxation.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LL.M. in taxation and/or Master's in Taxation.
  • Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the Private Company arena.
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus.

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
