Job Summary

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse II with the Health and Human Services Commission, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health issues. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong nursing skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and performing health screenings.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Train and supervise direct support professionals and other staff on medical procedures and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on facility and state regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency medical care as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
  • Strong nursing skills and experience working with individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
