Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Psychiatry) to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct psychiatric clinical services to patients of all age groups, including individual, family, and couple psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, and evaluation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct psychiatric clinical services to patients, including individual, family, and couple psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, and evaluation services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address patients' mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in the development and training of staff in modern mental health care, issues, and concepts.
  • Ensure mental health modalities and interventions are within the norms of standardized psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, such as a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
Working Conditions

This position is covered by a Bargaining Unit. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized. A (1) one year service agreement will be required. Government housing may be available, based on location.
