Position Overview

Compunnel Inc. is in search of a Lead Salesforce Solutions Architect to enhance our application development and support team.

This individual will be tasked with crafting new code and maintaining existing code utilized across various educational departments. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders and the development team to design, develop, and maintain Salesforce and associated applications, employing industry-standard methodologies and tools.

Our IT department adheres to a lean/agile development framework. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work across all layers of the architecture and have substantial experience with the Salesforce platform, including integrations with external systems, as well as transitioning from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. They should also be well-versed in all stages of software development, including design, development, unit testing, quality assurance support, and defect resolution specific to the Salesforce platform, along with performing Salesforce administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The Salesforce Solutions Architect will collaborate with various teams, including Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, to create software deliverables and documentation.
  2. As a senior team member, adherence to organizational methodologies and standards is essential, along with proposing enhancements based on best practices in software development.
  3. Engage in Lightning Web Component Development and provide support for integration platforms, including enhancements and bug fixes.
  4. Participate in activities such as requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, rollout, and documentation creation.
  5. Attend regularly scheduled meetings to discuss ongoing tasks and provide weekly status updates.

Education and Experience Requirements

  1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  2. A proven track record of success in large-scale projects involving diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  3. At least 6 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  4. Ability to develop new business requirements utilizing Lightning Web Components, Lightning Flows, Apex Batches and Triggers, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other solutions.
  5. Proficiency in programming languages such as SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and CSS, along with experience in batch data and real-time stream processing on the Salesforce platform.
  6. Experience in Application Development & Configuration, including Lightning App Builder, Flows, validation rules, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  7. Expertise in developing user interface pages using the LWC framework.
  8. Experience with complex Salesforce API integrations for applications on various platforms, including developing and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware, and other integration tools.
  9. Implemented asynchronous processing solutions with Platform events, Async Apex, Queueable Apex, Change Data Capture, and Lightning Message Service.
  10. Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities) development and customization.
  11. Collaborate with junior developers to conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  12. Create and maintain technical documentation, including process documentation, naming conventions, and Salesforce policies and procedures.
  13. Mentor and guide development team members.

Certification Requirement

Platform Developer I Certification is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) methodologies.

Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Experience with Salesforce-specific IDEs and version control configurations (GitHub, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX).

Knowledge of accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance.

Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous learning, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  1. Experience related to K-12 education or curriculum standards is advantageous.
  2. Familiarity with cloud solutions and technologies, particularly AWS, is a plus.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances to address emergencies, program modifications, or production requirements.
