About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Substation Engineer to join our team at Paradigm Technology. As a key member of our Transmission Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical substation systems that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare detailed engineering plans, designs, and specifications for electrical substation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management: Oversee the production of construction documents, including one-line diagrams, conceptual designs, and plan-section drawings, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-discipline design teams, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications, and coordinate with external vendors and manufacturers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers, and participate in developing long-range strategies for significant site problems.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all engineering analyses, design, and project control work is technically sound, cost-effective, and in compliance with established standards, codes, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in engineering-related positions, with a focus on substation physical and controls design.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent real-world work experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Primavera P6, with experience in major equipment selection, estimate development, and scope refinement.
