Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Department. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheets, ensuring a thorough understanding of the underlying transactions.
- Conduct month-end closing activities and perform reconciliations.
- Prepare various specialized financial reports as needed.
- Manage general job cost accounting tasks.
- Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation for annual audits.
- Stay updated on acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Aid in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Undertake additional special duties, projects, or analyses as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role with a solid understanding of accounting processes.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end closing procedures, as well as financial reporting including balance sheets and income statements.
- Candidates should be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of driving change in a fast-paced environment while upholding integrity and compliance.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with effective communication abilities, are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software is required.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines are crucial.
