Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor will provide oversight and guidance to Associate Social Workers (ASWs) and Marriage and Family Therapy Interns (MFTIs). Responsibilities include assisting the Director with quality assurance and program development tasks for social services. The role involves offering emotional support, crisis intervention, and counseling, as well as providing information and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families facing challenges related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma across all clinical care areas. The supervisor will conduct psychosocial assessments and collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring all necessary documentation and clinical records are maintained for social service consultations throughout the patient's stay.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. OR
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field OR
- Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
- Current state license required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Completion of criteria to provide supervision to ASW or MFTI, LPCCI per State Regulatory Board.
- A minimum of one (1) year of hospital or outpatient experience with a focus on mental health care.
- Experience working with a diverse population facing a wide range of issues (e.g., death and dying, maternal and child care, substance abuse, disability, chronic illness).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification preferred upon hire and must be maintained.
